About John Prentice

John's 30+ year career has touched financial services, manufacturing and the automotive industry, and includes experience in P&L management, strategy, planning, start-ups, marketing, and continuous improvement (Six Sigma and Kaizen). Most recently he was an Executive Director for Hillenbrand Industries, a global Fortune 1000 company, acting as an internal consultant on merger & acquisitions and other strategic issues, as well as consulting for the company's European operations.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Forethought Federal Savings Bank, Mr. Prentice was responsible for growing the business from start-up to an annual growth rate of over 100%. In a prior position as a Vice President and General Manager of Forethought Financial Services, Inc., he was instrumental in the creation and implementation of its products and services, exercised executive leadership of a sales force of 67 sales representatives and their managers, and was an essential part of the executive management team that guided the company along its unprecedented growth path, growing from start-up to $600 million in annual sales.

John also held management positions in corporate strategy and product planning with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. He has a proven ability to analyze businesses, operations, products, markets, and growth opportunities, and then introduce strategic and tactical solutions that improve competitive performance and increase sales and profits. He also served as an adjunct professor at Xavier University, MBA program.
